A Pawling man has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and felony DWI in connection to Monday’s fatal car versus motorcycle crash on Route 55 in Pawling. State police at Dover arrested Keith E. Johnson, 21, of Pawling, and charged him with first-degree vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated, both felonies. A person is charged with felony DWI when they have had a prior DWI conviction within the past 10 years. Johnson was arraigned and sent to Dutchess County Jail with bail set at $50,000 cash and $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Pawling town court at a later date. Additional details such as the identity of the person who died and the cause of the accident were not immediately available. Check here later for more information.
