March 13, 2009 – Another Heroin Arrest. This one near Main Street in Pawling!

It was encouraging to see three drug arrest stories in the Poughkeepsie Journal in the past week that were directly tied to Pawling. The last arrest was on March 13th of a 20 year old Pawling resident who was arrested near Main Street as part of ongoing drug investigations by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force. 

A Big Thank You to our local law enforcement for taking another alledged drug dealer and the garbage he sells (heroin) off the streets of Pawling!

Police arrested the suspect, Londell A. Dyson, 20, on Wednesday (March 11, 2009) near Main Street in Pawling. The arrest was a result of a two month investigation into Dyson’s alleged heroin sales, police said.

Following his arrest, police executed a search warrant at Dyson’s home on Fairway Drive, where they allegedly found 31 glassine envelopes of heroin, scales, drug paraphernalia and a rifle. Police said, at the time of his arrest, Dyson had five glassine envelopes of heroin and $3,650 in his possession.

He was charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor. Additional charges are pending, police said.

Dyson was arraigned and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond. The full article link follows.
